Your Manifest Rate Card contains all charges for work performed as part of your fulfillment relationship with Manifest. It is structured as a multi-tab spreadsheet — this article explains what each tab contains and how to read it accurately.
Rate card tabs overview:

Fulfillment: all labor charges for fulfillment operations — commonly referred to as pick and pack fees. Each row corresponds to a specific action. You are charged when that action is executed.
Packaging: charges for all boxes and mailers used to ship your packages at Manifest. Pricing reflects each individual use and includes tape, void fill, and the printed label. Multi-piece shipments using more than one box are invoiced per package.
Rate shopping and representative service class tabs:
Choose — Options: select which carriers and services you want included in a representative rate shop simulation. Check the box in Column B for each service you want to include.
Choose — Pricing: outputs a representative estimated cost based on your selections in Choose — Options using a MIN formula that simulates ShipHero's rate shop logic.
Parcel Preview: a quick comparison across representative service classes at common weight intervals of 4oz, 1lb, and 4lb.
Value (3–8+ Day Budget): representative pricing selecting from all of Manifest's carriers and services including UniUni, ShipX, and Veho.
Value Weighted (3–8+ Day Budget Weighted): same as Value but applies a 65% weight to Value pricing and 35% weight to Ground Economy pricing to better reflect real-world costs given that UniUni, ShipX, and Veho only cover approximately 65% of order zip codes.
Ground Economy (2–7+ Day): all carriers and services excluding UniUni, ShipX, and Veho.
Expedited (2–4+ Day): all carriers and services excluding UniUni, ShipX, Veho, DHL SmartMail Parcel Ground, UPS SurePost, and FedEx Ground Economy.
Express (1–3+ Day): USPS Priority and DHL SmartMail Parcel Expedited MAX only.
2-Day Guaranteed: UPS 2nd Day Air and FedEx 2-Day only. Note that Manifest also offers FedEx OneRate 2-Day which is typically less expensive but is priced on cubic volume rather than weight and zone and therefore cannot be included in the MIN formula on this tab.
Individual carrier and service tabs: to the right of the representative service class tabs you will find individual tabs for each carrier and service — for example DHL SmartMail Parcel Ground. For each label generated, your invoice will correspond to the rate on the specific carrier and service tab for that package.
Important: representative pricing is not guaranteed
The representative service class tabs use a MIN formula to display the lowest cost option among selected services. This is an estimate only — you will always be invoiced at the individual carrier and service rate selected on a given order. UniUni, ShipX, and Veho cover approximately 65% of order zip codes. For orders shipping to zip codes outside their coverage area, ShipHero selects the next cheapest available option and you are billed at that rate, which may be higher than the representative rate displayed.
What is included in your rate card rates:
Base shipping cost, fuel surcharges, and residential delivery surcharges.
What is not included in your rate card rates:
Carrier accessorials and surcharges are unpredictable in advance and are not included in rate card pricing. They are assessed separately via the Client Detail file once Manifest receives carrier invoices. Common accessorials include Delivery Area Surcharge (DAS) or Extended Delivery Area Surcharge (EDAS) for remote or rural deliveries, Additional Handling charges based on package size or weight, Oversize or Nonstandard Size charges, and international fees including duties, customs clearance, VAT, and other charges based on tariff codes, declared value, and product-level information.
