Before orders can be fulfilled, your Shopify shipping methods need to be mapped to carriers and services in ShipHero. This setup that determines how ShipHero selects a shipping method for each order at the time the label is generated. Changes apply to orders imported from that point forward — they do not apply retroactively. Contact Manifest's account managers to update shipping methods on orders already imported.
How rate shopping works:
ShipHero can rate-shop across multiple carriers and services to find the lowest available rate at the time a label is generated. Rate shop methods are pre-configured pools of carriers and services — for example, a Domestic Economy rate shop method might include DHL SmartMail Parcel Ground through FedEx Ground, and ShipHero will select whichever is cheapest for that specific package's weight and zone. You are invoiced based on the carrier and service selected at label generation. To see which carriers and services are included in each rate shop method see the Rate Shop Methods spreadsheet here.
How to configure your shipping methods:
Log into your ShipHero portal at shipsfor.us. Go to Settings and click the Shipping tab at the top. This screen displays all shipping methods across your stores. The leftmost column shows your store, the next column shows the shipping method name exactly as it appears in your Shopify shipping and delivery zones, and the remaining columns allow you to select the carrier and method to map to that option.
For each shipping method select one of two options:
To set up a rate shop method, set the Carrier to Cheapest and select one of the pre-built rate shop methods from the Method dropdown. Refer to the Rate Shop Methods spreadsheet to find the right method for your needs.
To set a specific carrier and service, select the carrier directly — for example FedEx — and then select the specific service from the Method dropdown — for example FedEx 2Day. Refer to the Rate Shop Methods spreadsheet to confirm the exact carrier and service names as they appear in ShipHero.
Click Save after mapping each method. Continue mapping all shipping methods across your stores. Orders imported from this point forward will follow the configured mapping.
Custom rate shop configurations:
If you want a rate shop method that includes only specific carriers or services not covered by the pre-built options, contact Manifest's account managers to build a custom configuration.
