Manifest processes three types of B2B and FBA Prep orders. Each has a different processing SLA based on the complexity of the work required. Identifying your order type correctly is important for setting accurate fulfillment expectations.
How to identify your order type:
Standard B2B Order An order qualifies as Standard B2B if it meets one or more of the following conditions: it has 30 or more total units, it is shipping via a prepaid label or BOL, it is shipping to a commercial address, or it has document attachments. Standard B2B orders are picked and packed similarly to D2C orders. Examples include a 40-unit order shipping to a residential address, a Faire order shipping to a commercial address, or a Grove order requiring a PO document included with the physical shipment. SLA: 3 business days from queue date.
B2B/FBA Order With Carton- or Pallet-Level Vendor Compliance An order falls into this type if it requires specific carton or pallet-level pack-out or assembly instructions for compliant delivery to the destination. This includes applying carton- or pallet-level barcodes or stickers such as GS1, G10s, Transparency, or Amazon ASIN labels, applying induction or receiving labels for a specific vendor, packing out specific SKUs or colorways together, packing out in specific unit denominations, or meeting minimum or maximum weight or size requirements per carton or pallet. Examples include FBA Prep orders requiring carton-level labeling, major retailer orders such as Bloomingdale's, Dick's Sporting Goods, or Dillard's with vendor compliance or routing guides, and Target orders requiring parent pallet and children case labels. SLA: 4 business days from queue date.
B2B/FBA Order With Unit-Level Vendor Compliance An order falls into this type if it requires specific unit-level pack-out or assembly instructions, including applying unit-level barcodes or stickers such as GS1, G10s, Fineline tickets, Transparency stickers, or Amazon ASIN labels. There are two sub-types: Physical Labels, where labels must be physically ordered and delivered to Manifest's warehouse before the order can be processed, and Digital Attachments, where labels are uploaded directly to the order in ShipHero for Manifest to print and affix. Examples include FBA Prep orders requiring unit-level ASIN or Transparency labeling, Urban Outfitters or Free People orders requiring Fineline tickets affixed to individual units, and big box retailer orders requiring inner cartons to be labeled or over-labeled before being placed back into master cartons. SLA: 5 business days from queue date.
SLA thresholds and exceptions:
SLAs above apply to orders within normal processing thresholds. If any of the following conditions are met, the order exceeds normal thresholds and processing time will be determined on an individual basis: 10,000 or more total units, 250 or more carton labels to be applied, or 1,000 or more unit-level stickers or labels to be applied. Note that unit-level stickers are counted per sticker rather than per unit — an order with 500 units requiring two stickers each counts as 1,000 sticker applications and meets the threshold.
These SLAs apply to normal operations January through October. Extended peak season SLAs apply November through December.
