Planning a product drop or high-volume campaign? Follow this checklist to ensure a smooth, coordinated launch between your Shopify store and Manifest’s fulfillment team. Proactive planning helps avoid inventory issues, API throttling, and fulfillment delays.
Pre-Launch Prep
1. Notify Manifest
Please share relevant drop details with your Account Manager, including:
Drop date and time
Expected order volume
Featured SKUs
2. Confirm Inventory Arrival
Ensure all drop inventory is delivered to Manifest with ample lead time for receiving and QA. Your Account Manager can confirm expected receiving turnaround.
3. Coordinate With Shopify
Contact Shopify support to request a temporary increase in API call limits for ShipHero. This helps prevent throttling during high order volume.
4. Adjust Inventory Sync Settings
Turn off inventory sync for all SKUs to avoid overselling during the rush. Disable sync storewide temporarily via My Account > Stores > Settings
Day-Of Launch Checklist
1. Guaranteed Expedited Options
Turn off any Guaranteed Expedited delivery options in Shopify to protect against fulfillment delays.
2. Update Shopify Shipping Options
Ensure your shipping messaging matches fulfillment expectations. Update names or rates if needed.

3. Manage Inventory in Shopify
Set drop SKUs to Draft status in Shopify
Upload inventory counts (we recommend removing ~10 units per SKU to account for oversells)
If pre-selling, consider listing less than available inventory
Set SKUs back to Active at the exact launch time
Post-Launch Cleanup
1. Confirm Order Sync
Double-check that all drop orders synced correctly to Manifest. If any are missing, contact your Account Manager right away.
2. Clear Remaining Inventory From Shopify
If you manually uploaded placeholder inventory, now’s the time to remove it or reset it to 0.
3. Evaluate Inventory in Manifest
Review remaining inventory levels in Manifest’s system to plan restocks or future drops.
4. Re-Enable Key Settings
Turn inventory sync back on for drop SKUs
