B2B and FBA Prep orders can be created manually in ShipHero or in Shopify for automatic import to ShipHero. Before creating orders, confirm your order meets all requirements for its order type — see Requirements for Standard B2B Orders, Requirements for B2B/FBA Orders With Carton- or Pallet-Level Vendor Compliance, or Requirements for B2B/FBA Orders With Unit-Level Vendor Compliance as applicable.
Important: if any requirement is not satisfied at the time the order becomes Ready to Ship in ShipHero, Manifest will not be liable for any resulting chargebacks or penalties. If you need to upload attachments before the order is ready, place the order on hold until all attachments are uploaded and all requirements are met. See How to Manage Order Holds for instructions, see How to Add Attachments to an Order for guidance on uploading attachments, or contact Manifest's account managers to set up automation rule-based hold logic.
Method 1: Create orders manually in ShipHero
Before creating the order, determine a naming convention that aligns with your vendor compliance SOPs and order type. Contact Manifest's account managers with your chosen naming convention — they will build automation rules in ShipHero to trigger the correct warehouse workflow based on that convention.
Example: for a Target carton-level compliance order shipping via parcel, your naming convention might be Target_Carton_Parcel_PO123456 where Target, Carton, and Parcel are static identifiers and the PO number is order-specific. Your account manager would then build a rule: if order number contains string "Target_Carton_Parcel" then apply carton-level wholesale compliance via parcel shipping workflow.
Once your naming convention is established and automation rules are in place, create the order in ShipHero following the standard order creation process. See How to Create a Manual Order in ShipHero for guidance.
Method 2: Create orders in Shopify for import to ShipHero
If you prefer to manage wholesale orders within Shopify as your system of record, orders created in Shopify will automatically import to ShipHero. Before creating orders, determine an order tagging convention that aligns with your vendor compliance SOPs and order type. Contact Manifest's account managers with your chosen tagging convention — they will build the corresponding automation rules in ShipHero.
Example: for a Target carton-level compliance order shipping via parcel, you might tag the order targetcartonparcel. Your account manager would then build a rule: if order tag contains "targetcartonparcel" then apply carton-level wholesale compliance via parcel shipping workflow.
Manifest recommends using Shopify Flow to automatically apply tags to orders at the time of creation based on conditions such as customer name, PO prefix or suffix, or shipping address. This eliminates manual tagging and reduces the risk of orders importing without the correct workflow trigger.
If orders created in Shopify require attachments for compliance, place the order on hold until all attachments are uploaded. You can apply holds manually or ask your account manager to use the same tagging conventions to automatically apply an order hold at import. See How to Manage Order Holds to place a hold on an order.
