Important Notes
- SLA for these orders is 5 business days
- Orders can either be created manually within ShipHero or created in Shopify and imported into ShipHero automatically. See the guide here for more information on creating orders.
- Orders must meet the Requirements as below to ship according to vendor compliance. If any requirement is not satisfied at the time the order becomes Ready to Ship = Yes within our warehouse software, ShipHero, then Manifest will not be liable for chargebacks or penalties.*
- *If you are creating orders in your store for import to ShipHero and need to upload attachments to ensure compliance, our recommendation is to put the order in a Hold until all attachments are uploaded and the order satisfies all of the requirements below. You can set a hold manually or contact your account manager to set up automation rule-based hold logic (e.g. if Shopify tag contains hold, then place order in a Fraud hold).
Unit-Level Vendor Compliance
It’s easiest to think of this as any outbound order that requires specific unit-level pack-out/assembly instructions for compliant shipping to the destination, which could include, but is not limited to:
- Applying unit-level barcodes or stickers (e.g. GS1, G10s, Fineline tickets, Transparency stickers, Amazon ASIN)
Sub-Types
There are two sub-types of vendor compliance requiring unit-level labeling. Information on how to successfully facilitate shipment for either can be found linked immediately below:
- Physical Labels: labels/stickers that must be ordered and physically delivered to Manifest's warehouse to be affixed to units for vendor compliance (e.g. Transparency, Fineline, etc.)
- Digital Attachments: labels/stickers that are uploaded as digital attachments to the order in ShipHero for Manifest to print and affix to units for vendor compliance
Examples
- FBA Prep order that requires unit-level ASIN or Transparency labeling
- Urban Outfitters or Free People orders that require one or more Fineline "tickets" to be affixed to individual units
- A "big box" retailer that requires inner cartons being labeled or re-labeled (over-labeled) and placed back into their master cartons prior to outbound shipment
Requirements
- Order creation must trigger Manifest automation rule to drive the appropriate Vendor Compliance workflow process on the warehouse floor (see here for more information); in summary:
- Manually created orders in ShipHero must follow a naming convention to trigger these rules
- Shopify-created and imported orders must follow a tagging convention to trigger these rules
- All units in the order must be available to ship
- The Vendor Compliance SOP must be submitted and approved and logged in our repository
- Any documents that need to be included or affixed must be added as attachments to the order in ShipHero
- Any unit-level barcodes, stickers, or labels must be present on the order in ShipHero:
- For unit-level barcodes, stickers, or labels that are added digitally as an attachment as below:
- Labels should be formatted to be printed on 30ups (3 columns x 10 rows) sheets. This is the format that Amazon uses.
- Uploaded barcode/label documents should be limited to one SKU and their respective quantities (to be labeled).
- If an order calls for 40 units of SKU A and 50 units of SKU B to be relabeled, we expect two documents. One uploaded document with 40 labels for SKU A and a second uploaded document with 50 labels for SKU B
- Documents should be titled SKU_labels, e.g. SKUA_labels, SKUB_labels
- For unit-level barcodes, stickers, or labels that are physical items and included as order line items (e.g. Transparency, Fineline, etc.):
- Each unique physical barcode/sticker/label must have an item created within ShipHero in your product catalog following a naming convention that references both the SKU and the PO or order number for this individual order (e.g. Fineline_PO12435_SKU12345)
- An Inbound PO must be created for successful receipt of goods
- The line item(s) for each unique physical barcode/sticker/label must be added to the order in ShipHero at the quantity of the labels being affixed
- For unit-level barcodes, stickers, or labels that are added digitally as an attachment as below:
- Any carton- or pallet-level labels must be attached to the order in ShipHero*
*We understand that producing carton- or pallet-level labels often first requires us to send you weights and dimensions. The Vendor Compliance SOP must explicitly state the need to send weights and dimensions. Upon successful pick, pack, and processing of the order, we will send you these weights and dimensions and await your successful upload and written confirmation that the carton- and/or pallet-level labels are now attached to the order.
