Order Types
Amazon FBA
-
Use Case(s):
- Amazon FBA
-
Integration:
- Build order through RetailReady which integrates natively with both Amazon and ShipHero through API
-
Origin/create order:
- Happens in RetailReady (rather than SellerCentral)
-
Workflow:
- Create order within RetailReady "on behalf of Amazon" > this then sends/creates the order in ShipHero
- We pick in ShipHero (just as we do now)
- Once picked in ShipHero, the pack-out/assembly process is a directed, step-by-step flow within RetailReady and includes ALL STEPS required for compliance with Amazon:
- Product labeling/stickering
- Label generation and affixing
- Carton and/or pallet label generation and affixing
- Shipping label generation (UPS SPD or Amazon-generated freight)
- **IF orders sent using non-Amazon freight, Manifest will have to manually load Transportation information to pass back to Amazon
- Load-out happens in RetailReady > this sends a ship confirmation to close order in Amazon via API
Order Origin: Retailer’s EDI Portal
-
Use Case(s):
- Any order/PO that generates from a retailer’s portal and requires EDI
-
Integration Types:
-
PREFERRED: RetailReady EDI direct integration with retailer
- This allows all paperwork/documentation to be transmitted electronically (invoices, ASNs, PO acknowledgement); third-parties like SPS Commerce only allow ASNs to be transmitted
- Building the EDI connection with RetailReady directly enables RetailReady to pull in the routing guide and compliance requirements for each individual vendor and they'll create them as directed steps for Manifest's operators on the floor
- Optional: third-party EDI platforms like SPS Commerce
-
PREFERRED: RetailReady EDI direct integration with retailer
-
Origin/create order:
- Happens upstream within retailer’s portal
-
Workflow:
- Order originates in retailer’s portal
- Optional: can allow/accommodate approvals (as with an ERP)
- Once approved, order imports to RetailReady
- RetailReady pushes order to ShipHero
- Optional: RetailReady can first push the order to Shopify (to then be imported into ShipHero) if that Shopify order record is required
- We pick in ShipHero (just as we do now)
- Once picked in ShipHero, the pack-out/assembly process is a directed, step-by-step flow within RetailReady per the retailer’s routing guide/requirements and includes ALL STEPS required for compliance with that retailer:
- Product labeling/stickering
- Label generation and affixing
- Carton and/or pallet label generation and affixing
- Pallet height/weight restrictions
- Etc.
- Depending on integration type as above: files are transmitted directly back to retailer portal via EDI
- Order originates in retailer’s portal
