Allow Partial is an order-level setting in ShipHero that allows an order to ship even if not all items are currently in stock. It is available for D2C orders only — wholesale and B2B orders are not eligible.
Before enabling Allow Partial, understand the implications:
Enabling Allow Partial means two things. First, a backorder will be created for any out-of-stock items to be shipped when inventory becomes available. Second, ShipHero will ship any available inventory immediately — including a single unit — without waiting for the full order quantity to be in stock. For example if an order is short 25 units across multiple SKUs and a single unit is checked in via a return, that single unit will move to the queue and ship immediately as a separate package.
Only enable Allow Partial if you are comfortable with Manifest shipping as many individual packages as necessary to fully complete the order over time.
How to enable Allow Partial on an order:
Log into your ShipHero portal at shipsfor.us. Click Orders in the left-hand navigation and find the order. Click into the order to open its details. On the right-hand side of the order find the Allow Partial toggle and enable it. Save the record.
When to use Allow Partial:
Use this setting when you want to ship available inventory immediately rather than waiting for all items in an order to be in stock, and you are prepared to fulfill the order across multiple shipments as inventory becomes available.
